The Corporate Career Ladder is Dying...

AI is making the corporate career ladder pretty like obsolete. Like if you take consulting for instance, the managing partners, the most senior people who work at some of the largest consulting firms know less about AI than the kid who just graduated from college and has used ChatGPT aggressively over the past two years. So the playing field of who has the strongest skill set in the market has been totally flipped on its head where you could probably get better AI consulting from a 22-year-old than someone who has worked at McKinsey for 40 years. And I think this is true in every industry. If we think about every role and function fundamentally changing, looking drastically different than five years ago, then I just believe the more AI focused, automation efficiency minded person who has some in the real world and understand how people work will just do better than someone who has climbed the corporate career ladder their whole entire career. I think this is one of the reasons that I think startups is probably the best option and career move for a lot of people to go work at. There's no bureaucracy, the best idea wins. So even if you're a 20-year-old with strong conviction in your idea, it's not gonna get shut down just because the person who has worked for 60 years knows better than you. So I just think generally people need to have that in mind about their career. The career ladder is falling apart. The best move is to be in places that don't require experience for you to be in the room. And I think startups are basically for you to be.
