Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
In case nobody told you today, I'm gonna have to say it. There is someone out there right now who is not nearly as smart as you. Doesn't work nearly as hard as you. Doesn't have half of your potential. And yet they're farther ahead in life than you are right now. They have more time, they have more energy, they have more options. They have more money. They have freedom. They're living a better life than you. And no, it's not because they had more connections or they were given more opportunities. It's because they're doing this one thing that you simply are not doing. They understood a long time ago that no amount of analyzing, overthinking, or planning, whatever, replicating action. You, on the other hand, have a great idea and you spend three weeks researching it. Finding an opportunity that can change your life and instead of doing something about it, you spend a month talking about it. You want to start something and you spend a whole year planning and waiting for the perfect time and nothing ever happens. And while you're doing all of that, there's someone else out there with half of your potential, less experience, less talent, who just started. They're years ahead of you, living a life that you could only dream of. You're overthinking and overthinking and overthinking. And it feels like progress because it's so time-consuming. Analyzing, planning, weighing options, thinking through every possible scenario. And all of that feels like progress, but it's not. Thinking about progress and actually making progress are two entirely different things. You need to understand why this happens based off of neuroscience. When you're thinking about something, your brain is getting the same kind of reward and dopamine as if you were actually doing something. And that's why it feels good. It's not because you're actually doing something, but because your brain is wired to reward that kind of behavior. So look, it's never my goal to call you out to make you feel bad. I'm gonna tell you how to actually fix it. Make your steps and your actions so small that your brain cannot just justify not doing it. It's not gonna have that billion-million dollar idea. Instead, you're gonna just send that email. One email. You're gonna book one call. You're not gonna learn the whole skill today. You're gonna take one step forward. Do one thing that the person that you want to become would do for yourself right now.
