kitchen tools I thought were unnecessary.... until I got them Here are some of my kitchen must haves. I genuinely don't think I could live without any of these. First is my chef knife. I use this constantly. It's really the only knife that I use. It's from the Shun Premier line. It is incredible. 100% worth the money. If you only need one knife, buy this. Second is my meat thermometer. Genuinely don't know how people cook without one of these. I temp everything that I'm making. So much easier to get like a perfect medium rare steak. Make sure your chicken's done like this. This is my holy grail. Then a zester. I'll use it with lemons, limes, garlic, ginger, really anything. It's just from Amazon, but it's like, really high quality. A garlic mincer. I use this all the time. So easy. You just pop the garlic on in here and then it presses out. Cook with garlic basically every meal, so this prevents my hands from smelling constantly. A bench scraper. If you're chopping a bunch of vegetables and then you need to, like, transfer them, whether it's just to, like, Tupperware or into a pan you're cooking, you just scoop them all up like this, put them on in it. Actually. It's like, game changing, obviously. A little citrus squeezer. I use this all the time cause I'm always cooking lemon or lime. A mandoline. I love this. You obviously have to be careful. I usually stop with still having like this much of whatever I'm slicing, but it has three different settings for the thickness and I love it. It just is so consistent. Oh, I know. These aren't really like a tool. A year ago, I started wearing gloves when I'm handling, like, any meat, especially if I'm making, like, meatballs or if I'm, like, really marinating the chicken. Absolutely game changing. You can just get these, they're like food safe ones off of Amazon. Especially if you have longer nails. These are amazing. That's it.
