£50k isn't that much more than £30k after tax... I hear this a lot, so let's actually look at it. Same rent. Same bills. Same food shop. Same childcare. The only thing that changes is the salary. £30k leaves you at -£287 a month. £50k leaves you with £913. That's not a small difference. That's the difference between falling behind every single month and actually having breathing room to save, plan, or just live without constantly checking your bank balance. As a career coach, this is exactly why I push people to either build the skills that get them higher paying roles, or look at switching industries entirely. Sometimes the fastest way to close that gap isn't working harder in the job you're already in, it's realising your exact same skills are worth significantly more somewhere else. Do you think £50k really is 'not that different' from £30k? Let me know where you stand. 🇬🇧 #UKSalary #Highpayingjob #Salaryaftertax
