Replying to @Sharing Lov3 🎉🐾ROCKY’S FREEDOM RIDE 🐾🎉 The other day, I was volunteering at the shelter, and right before I left, I came across a heartbroken Doberman lying on his bed. I noticed he had just been surrendered that very same day, only a couple of hours earlier. 💔 I decided to take him outside to see if I could cheer him up, but he didn’t connect with me at all. He spent the entire time searching for his family. 😭💔 I put him back in his kennel and promised I would post his video and find him a new family. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that would happen the very next day. At midnight, I received an email from a man saying he was already in his car, driving from New Jersey to Atlanta. He had 800 miles to drive, but hoped to be at the shelter first thing in the morning. 13 hours later, there he was. 🥹❤️ With a brand new leash, collar, bed, and a heart full of love for Rocky. When I went to tell Rocky the good news, he was sleeping. I took him outside and he was already a completely different dog. He was jumping with excitement when he saw me. I truly believe he knew. He knew what was about to happen. 🥹 After the paperwork was completed, Rocky walked out of the shelter doors and into his new life. His dad has a huge fenced-in backyard in New Jersey, a home in Florida for vacations, and Rocky will be his only dog. He is going to be SO spoiled. ❤️ The next day, his dad sent me a video of Rocky looking through an open field, looking happier than ever. He told me Rocky did amazing on the long car ride and that everyone already adores him. This is the power of sharing one video of one shelter dog. 🥹 To everyone who shared, commented, and prayed for Rocky, YOU are part of this freedom ride. I couldn’t do this without you. That’s why I always say… IT TAKES A VILLAGE. ❤️ 🎉 HAPPINESS LOOKS SO GOOD ON YOU ROCKY 🥹❤️ #d#dobermanh#happyd#dogr#rescuestory
