Why it worked

The video leverages the novelty of an extremely large food item, combined with the creator's relatable nervousness and eventual delight, creating a satisfying and shareable "food porn" experience. The mention of a specific, high-quality butter brand also adds to the appeal.

Summary

The creator makes a giant croissant using 12 times the normal amount of dough and butter. After proofing and baking, she reveals the massive, golden-brown croissant, which she then cuts into to show the flaky interior. She and another person then enthusiastically taste it.

Structure

1Introducing the giant croissant dough
2Proofing and egg washing
3Baking the croissant
