🚨 Multiple Businesses Broken Into

🚨 MULTIPLE BUSINESSES BROKEN INTO ON N 16TH AVE 📍 Yakima, WA — August 18, 2026 Multiple businesses on N 16th Ave appear to have been broken into during the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 18, with the first report coming in around 3 AM. 🚔 SPECTRUM A scanner call initially came across as a burglary at Spectrum. An employee discovered the front glass door had been completely smashed. Employees had not entered the building and were waiting for police to arrive and clear the building. When I arrived, officers were searching inside. It appeared that nobody was inside. At this time, it is unclear whether anything was stolen. ⛽ CHEVRON The Chevron next door also appeared to have its front glass door smashed. However, the business appeared to have security bars on the inside of the entrance, which may have prevented someone from getting inside. ⚡ DURING POWER OUTAGE The break-ins appeared to have occurred during the widespread power outage associated with the vegetation fire along Highway 12. ❓ It is currently unclear whether the incidents are connected, how the businesses were entered, or whether anything was taken. 👮 Police were investigating at the scene. #Yakima #Washington #PNW #Burglary #crime
