Recipe 5: Crispy Flatbread Pizzas 🍕 £25 Tesco Shop — 10 Recipes Series These homemade pizzas prove that making food from scratch doesn’t have to be expensive. Using simple ingredients from the shop, these crispy flatbread pizzas cost just under 30p per pizza base (before toppings), making them a budget-friendly option for lunchboxes, quick dinners or after-school snacks. This 2-ingredient dough is best eaten fresh for the crispiest texture, but the bases can also be frozen ready for busy days. Makes 4 pizzas Ingredients For the dough: 200g self-raising flour 200g natural yoghurt 1 tbsp olive oil Pinch of salt For the pizza sauce: 1 tbsp tomato purée 1 tbsp water Pinch of salt Pinch of oregano Toppings (optional): Grated cheese Pepperoni Any toppings you love Method Make the dough Add the flour, yoghurt, olive oil and salt to a bowl. Mix until it forms a soft dough. Divide and roll Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin oval shape (around 25cm x 15cm and approximately 2mm thick). Create the crispy base Drizzle a little olive oil over each piece of dough, then flip so the oil sits underneath. This helps create a crispier base. Make the sauce Mix together the tomato purée, water, salt and oregano. Top the pizzas Spread a thin layer of sauce over each base, then add your cheese and toppings. Bake Bake at 200°C fan for 13–15 minutes, checking from 12 minutes onwards, until the edges are golden and crispy. Serve Best eaten hot straight from the oven Also works well cold in lunchboxes Storage Best eaten fresh Keeps for 1–2 days in the fridge Reheat in the oven to bring back the crisp texture Recipe available on my app — comment “APP” and I’ll send you the link.
