You did everything right. And somehow it still does not feel right. Millennial women in corporate. If you are between 30 and 40, start these 10 habits before it is too late: 1️⃣ Run a market rate check every six months. Not when you are desperate. Put it in your calendar now like an appointment. 2️⃣ Block one fixed hour per week for the interest that has nothing to do with your job. Same day, same time, every week. If it does not have a slot it will not happen. 3️⃣ Have one external coffee or call per month with someone outside your company. Your network is at its most powerful right now and most women this age are letting it go cold. 4️⃣ Keep a separate savings account you do not touch. Label it so you remember what it is for. That cushion is what makes your next move a choice instead of a crisis. 5️⃣ Refresh your LinkedIn every quarter even when you are not looking. The best opportunities find people who look available before they are ready. 6️⃣ Write down three outcomes you delivered every Friday. Not tasks. Outcomes. That list is your leverage and you will not remember it accurately in six months. 7️⃣ Do a 30 minute check-in with yourself every quarter. One question only: am I growing or am I just busy? They feel identical until they do not. 8️⃣ Get your finances reviewed by someone who is not your bank. You have enough income now to build real runway. Most women this age are still managing money like they are 27. 9️⃣ Build one thing that is yours every quarter. A framework, a skill, a small project. Something that exists outside your job title and travels with you wherever you go next. 🔟 Start using your seniority to open doors for yourself, not just for others.
