The only reason this isn't higher is there's no track record and I like market data. Rolex GMT-Master II B Tier. In the year of our Lord 2008, I bought one of these bad boys. I wore it under my desk when I bought Lehman and I slept with the thing on my wrist for ten years. If you travel, this watch actually has a purpose. Rolex Daytona A Tier. The movement is exceptional. The racing heritage is very real. But the problem is, these things are everywhere. If you go on vacation and all your friends are wearing these, congratulations. You're rich. Good luck getting one at retail. Lange A Tier. If you are buying this watch, you are a savage. They don't even have a steel option. Here's a test. Turn around your wrist and if you're wearing a Lange, you own the company. Vacheron Constantin Overseas S Tier. This is the most accessible entry point into the holy trinity of watchmaking. This is the watch you buy for yourself when you stop caring about impressing other people. It pairs especially well with a vintage Porsche and a cigar.
