The "Fake Name" Method is when you put a made-up name in front of a process that you observe, just to make it seem more legitimate so you could farm more views on social media. And when you perform this method correctly, it gets you millions of views without even trying. So how does it work? Let's look at an example. The Fake Choice Effect is when companies make you think that you're in control of the tradeoffs, even if you're really not. Now that's a perfect example of the fake naming effect. I saw an effect that was cool, but there was no established name for it. So I just made up the name it seem like a legitimate effect that already exists. I did the exact same thing here. The Batman credit card actually exists, and you won't believe the perks. The name of this card is not the Batman credit card. I made that up. But it brings familiarity and actually makes it feel way more real. And most people say, well, you shouldn't do this, this is just gaslighting your viewers, but I disagree. By coming up with real-world names for processes that actually exist, like the carrot on a stick effect, you're not taking away from it, you're in fact adding to it. New words aren't made by the president announcing what the new word should be. They're made by you and me, finding new words to describe stuff in the world. You about money. One fake name at a time.
