I think one thing that people don't often like to talk about in the fitness industry is if you have to go to extreme lengths to achieve what you consider to be your goal body, or go to extreme lengths to maintain that body, it is highly likely that that is not where your body wants to be. It's probably not your healthiest body, your strongest body, and probably not one that you want to hold onto for very long. If you want to be able to live your life and feel good, and you want to look good, and we all want to like what we see in the mirror, and I don't think anyone's immune to that. But I also think it's a little too easy to miss the forest through the trees when you are striving endlessly for this body that you think is going to make you so happy, while at the same time, you're missing out on actual tangible things in your life that could make you really happy. And you're likely sacrificing, like really good training and getting stronger and maybe eating some really delicious foods or spending time with your family and not being on the stair master for two hours a day and eating 1000 calories. That's what it takes, that is not worth it. And you likely could get to 90% of what you consider to be your ideal body and feel really confident and also feel really good in your day-to-day life. We don't have to take it to an extreme. It's just my two cents after almost 15 years in the fitness industry.
