Eating Food From the Forgotten Island TikTok invited me out for an exclusive screening of DreamWork's new animated film The Forgotten Island IN THEATERS SEPTEMBER 25 #ForgottenIslandMovie they threw an entire block party filled with Filipino food INSPIRED BY THE MOVIE KICKING THINGS OFF AT MAGNOLIA who has been serving ice cream since 1972 I went with their classic ube ice cream which is arguably one of the best flavors without giving any spoilers in the movie we see just how much Jo loves lumpia and then topped with a sweet chili sauce that was incredible to wash everything down I got Lola's Paloma before heading over to get a pork rice bowl KUYA LORD CHICKEN INASAL PORK SISIG LEMONGRASS, GINGER, PALM VINEGAR VEGGIE SKEWER it was topped with this incredible jammy egg that melted everything together beautifully definitely one of the top bites of the night but what really took the cake for me was Cafe 86 UBE TRUFFLES their ube truffles have changed me forever I knew I loved ube before but this took it to the next level it was creamy melted in my mouth the perfect flavor and texture LASITA CHICKEN INASAL SKEWER Lemongrass, ginger, palm vinegar VEGGIE SKEWER the perfect flavor and texture *Contains dairy and allores Gluten Free and I can say the exact same thing about these chicken skewers cooked perfectly juicy well seasoned nothing to complain about we couldn't leave without getting a bite of some fried chicken juicy crispy if you know this was seriously the perfect day everything from the bites to the activities and the movie itself was incredible let this be your sign to get in your van on September 25th and take a trip to the Forgotten Island
