I’m starting a new series where I am pulling up on local mom and pops making good food. Too much stuff on here is paid promo and I want to show love to the local businesses in our community that deserve it. I decided to start with @Pink Heaven Delights in San Dimas. The dishes here are a little on the pricier side but they donate a portion of the proceeds to combat human trafficking. They also have rice bowls if you are looking for a cheaper option. THEY ARE NAMED AFTER THEIR PARTNERSHIP TO COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN THE PHILIPPINES AND CALIFORNIA. WE HAVE THE LUMPIA SHANGHAI. THESE WERE $12 I BELIEVE. THEY COME WITH SWEET CHILI SAUCE AND THEY'RE EXTRA CRISPY. I PERSONALLY REALLY LIKE THESE BECAUSE THEY'RE HEAVY ON THE PORK, VERY LITTLE VEGGIES BUT JUST ENOUGH TO GIVE THEM FLAVOR. I ALSO GOT A KALDERETA RICE BOWL, WHICH IS A BEEF STEW WITH CARROTS AND POTATOES AND IT LOOKS LIKE OLIVES. THE KALDERETA RICE BOWL WAS JUST $13 AND A TON OF FOOD. THE BEEF IS REALLY TENDER AND IT HAS A NICE SAVORY UMAMI FLAVOR TO IT. WE ALSO GOT THE PORK SISIG RICE BOWL WHICH WAS JUST $11. THE EGG ON TOP WAS COOKED JUST RIGHT AND HAD A JAMMY YOLK. I HAVE THE SUNSHINE COOLER WHICH IS A MIX OF CALAMANSI, MANGO PUREE, AND WATER. SUPER TASTY AND REFRESHING. IT'S IN BETWEEN MANGO AND CALAMANSI, NOT TOO SWEET, A LITTLE BIT MORE TART LIKE THE CALAMANSI. SO I PREFER IT. I ALSO GOT THE SANS RIVAL CAKE WHICH IS MADE WITH MERINGUE AND NUTS. I'M A HUGE FAN OF NUTS SO I THINK I'LL LIKE THIS ONE. REALLY BUTTERY. I LIKE THE FLAVOR A LOT HERE. GOOD FLAVOR FROM THE NUTS. IT'S A LITTLE BIT TONED DOWN. I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER NUTS SO I CAN GO A LITTLE BIT MORE NUT CRAZY. THEY ALSO HAVE CATERING AND FRESH BAKED PASTRIES SO CHECK THEM OUT!

Supporting local mom and pops. Today I'm out in San Dimas and we're checking out Pink Heaven, a brand new Filipino restaurant that just opened. They are named after their partnership to combat human trafficking in the Philippines and California. We have the Lumpia Shanghai. These were $12 I believe. They come with sweet chili sauce and they're extra crispy. I personally really like these because they're heavy on the pork, very little veggies but just enough to give them flavor. I also got a Kaldereta Rice Bowl, which is a beef stew with carrots and potatoes and it looks like olives. The Kaldereta Rice Bowl was just $13 and a ton of food. The beef is really tender and it has a nice savory umami flavor to it. We also got the Pork Sisig Rice Bowl, which was just $11. The egg on top was cooked just right and had a jammy yolk. I have the Sunshine Cooler, which is a mix of calamansi, mango puree, and water. Super tasty and refreshing. It's in between mango and calamansi, not too sweet, a little bit more tart like the calamansi, so I prefer it. I also got the Sans Rival Cake, which is made with meringue and nuts. I'm a huge fan of nuts so I think I'll like this one. Really buttery. I like the flavor a lot here. Good flavor from the nuts. It's a little bit toned down. I love peanut butter nuts so I can go a little bit more nut crazy. They also have catering and fresh baked pastries, so check them out!
