I went to a concert this weekend and it was all women because it was for Daisy Chain and after going I realized there is so much we can learn from women. The best example is the bathroom because most concerts or festivals you go to, it's porta potties and usually they're smelly, disgusting. But at Daisy Chain it was real toilets and there's no pee on any toilet seats or the floors that it doesn't smell. And the reason every woman in line had to use the bathroom, which means they're clean for the person after them. Walked in the thought was, I gotta be so careful to not make a mess because I'm not gonna be the one making this messy. So I pulled out my flashlight, sure I wiped everything down because there's a line behind me and if there's any pee on or the floors, they're gonna know it's me, the only guy here. And that's just the bathroom. The event itself was so relaxing because everybody created space for each other, no shoving, no pushing. In fact, when the actual performances, everybody made sure, oh, am I too? Like people are considerate. I know it's not really my place to say, but I think girlhood is community and I see the way that everybody treats each other. As a guy, I think there's a lot that we can learn from women and it starts by thinking about the other person more than yourself. But if you're a fellow girly, what do you think girlhood looks like to you?
