POV: Being a working Millennial parent trying to talk to a Boomer boss

I'm trying to leave the office at 2:30 everyday. Hope that's okay with you. Right. Well, you know, I always support the team, no matter what. What? Well, the bus comes to drop off my kids at 3:30. So I need about an hour to get home. Oh, isn't there like a daycare something? Yes, there's aftercare, but it's $600 a month and I don't get paid enough to add another $7,000 expense just so I can sit in this building until 5. You know, something's not adding up here. I don't remember this being this complicated or expensive when we were raising kids. You were raising kids when one income could support a family. Huh? Well, my parents helped. You know what they say? A village. My parents moved to Florida too. My in-laws are too old to help with babies and toddlers. You live in a good neighborhood? You have some trustworthy neighbors now? You know, back in the day, kids used to just run around the neighborhood, house to house. We don't know our neighbors because their kids are all on iPads and of course, um, can we talk about me leaving at 2:30? He, my brother and I play games. I believe of that size computer there. 1988.
