I've worked in finance for 15+ years, and if I could convince every woman to know 3 numbers, it would be these: 1. Your monthly cash flow. Not just your salary. How much money is actually coming in every month, how much is going out, and what's left after everything is paid? You can make a great income and still feel broke if you don't know where your money is actually going. 2. Your total debt AND the interest rates. Not just the minimum payments. Write down every balance, the interest rate, and the minimum payment. I know looking at the total can feel uncomfortable. But when we were tackling $60,000 of debt, one of the biggest lessons I learned was that you can't make a plan around numbers you're afraid to look at. Information gives you options. 3. Your net worth. Assets minus liabilities. And before you think, "Well mine isn't impressive enough to calculate," that's exactly why I think you should know it. Your net worth isn't your worth as a person. It's simply a financial snapshot. Knowing where you are today gives you something to measure as you build. After 15+ years working in finance AND going through my own financial rebuild, I've become really passionate about making money conversations feel less intimidating for women. You don't have to be a finance expert. You don't have to give up every little thing you enjoy. And you definitely don't have to pretend you're doing better financially than you actually are. Know your numbers. Make a plan. Manage what you have. Create opportunities to make more. Keep going. That's the kind of finance we're going to talk about around here. ❤️ What money topic do you wish someone would explain in normal-person language? Debt payoff? Budgeting? Credit? Cash flow? Net worth? Increasing income? Drop it below because I'm turning your questions into this series. #PersonalFinance #FinancialLiteracy #WomenAndMoney #MoneyTips #DebtFreeJourney
