“Just quit” is a useless advice when you have rent, bills, a visa, people depending on you, or simply no next job lined up. You know you need to leave. You just can’t leave yet. The goal is to stop giving it all of you while you work out your next move. 6 things that can help 👇 ——— Hi, I’m Sasha 👋 I’m building Anticipate, a companion for chronic stress and burnout. Anticipate: • tracks your patterns automatically • spots burnout signals early • helps you slow down before you completely run yourself into the ground Search “Anticipate” on the App Store. ——— 1. Start “acting your wage.” Stop being the person who rescues everything. Do your job. Meet reasonable expectations. Every emergency does not automatically need to become your emergency. 2. Actually stop working when work ends. Logging off at 5 and thinking about work until 11 is still work. Close the laptop. Mute Slack. Stop rehearsing tomorrow’s conversations in your head. 3. Stop trying to impress a job you already want to leave. You don’t need to win anymore. Not every task needs 110%. Not every problem needs your personal intervention. Good enough is good enough. 4. Stop donating your weekends to recovery. If every Saturday disappears into sleep → scrolling → staring at the wall → recovering enough to face Monday, work is taking far more than 40 hours from you. 5. Keep something for yourself. Build your exit slowly. You’re already exhausted, so of course “find a new job” feels enormous. Make it tiny. One CV edit. One saved vacancy. One message. 6. Remember: a bad workplace is not a character assessment. A dysfunctional environment draining you does not mean you’re weak, bad under pressure, or lacking resilience. You do not need to become better at tolerating something that is hurting you. “WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?” If you need extra help, try Anticipate. It tracks your patterns automatically and helps convince your rest-resisting brain that slowing down isn’t failing — it’s part of recovery.
