A 32 Hour Work Week Will Hurt The Average Worker

Just saw a video where this guy's talking about how the Bernie Sanders 32 hour work week is gonna be better for everyone because you're gonna make the same amount of money in 32 hours and companies are gonna need more labor since you can only work four days a week so they're gonna hire more people. Get out of here with that nonsense. Just miss me with all of that. You really think they're gonna pay you the same? No, if you're an hourly worker, congratulations, you just went from 40 to 32. Congratulations, you may still keep your health benefits, but you're making less money. If you're a salaried employee, congratulations, you now get to squeeze 40 hours of productivity into a 32 hour work week. You think they're gonna hire more people? No, they're gonna automate the gaps. I would love to work four day a week. I'm all for a four day work week. Let's do it. I think it gives you an opportunity to innovate. It gives you an opportunity to build something for yourself, spend more time with your family, but let's get past this notion that you're gonna get something for nothing. Because corporations could already do this and they aren't. We could be doing this today. You really think corporations, you really think anybody, even small businesses, you really think they're gonna go, okay, I'll take a 20% decrease in productivity, keep paying you the same?
