You're watching the Jamie Skill Series. And today, we've got Tyler taking it away in the kitchen. Let's make restaurant quality steak at home for half the price. Now, this is probably one of the most budget friendly steaks that you can get. A flank steak straight from the butchers. Just give it a nice little trim up. Pat this dry with a paper towel. Go for a little bit of olive oil. Rub this through evenly coated. Sprinkle of the old salty flavours. And a little pinch of black pepper. Now we always want a heavy bottom stainless steel or cast iron pan. And then we want to pre-heat this for about three minutes or so. Best way to check if it's hot enough, right? Get some water, chuck it on, and if we're dancing, we're ready to go. We'll go for a little bit of oil in the pan. And we'll lay our steak down nicely. And then every 30 seconds we'll move it to another spot in the pan. We've created a cold spot and we get it back hot. Turning the stake for the same amount of time equally ensures you get a beautifully, evenly cooked steak that's really juicy. We'll get our garlic. A nice little bash just to open it all up. And sit there with our rosemary, thyme and our butter. Reduce the heat right down. Chuck in our butter. Plenty of our aromatics. Get the butter nice and foaming and just start basting up that beautiful steak. We'll get it onto our board and we'll just rest it. I like to just go on with our aromatics. Butter over the top. And don't forget let your steak rest because it's still cooking and it will be extra juicy. The grain runs this way, so we're going to slice against it. Get me involved. Should just break apart. Great crust. Right, you get this made. You crack on. Love you. So that's the final skill done but we're not done yet. Because you can join us live in October for more skills.
