I have lost 40 pounds in eight months and I am a full-time working mom who works a desk job, so I want to share five habits that have helped me lose the weight. Number one is I get 10,000 steps a day minimum. In order to lose fat, you have to be expending more than you consume on a daily basis, and so 10,000 steps a day is just a good way to increase your overall daily expenditure. I posted a video last week sharing some tips on how I hit 10,000 steps a day even though I work a desk job. The second habit is I pack my breakfast and my lunch to work every single day. Along with that, my breakfast and lunch is the same every single day, which I know sounds boring, but as a full-time working mom, I am making decisions and figuring things out all day long, and so not having to stress about what I am going to eat for breakfast or lunch has made such a big difference. It helps me just overall stay consistent. My fourth habit that goes along with that is I prep my lunches and my breakfast ahead of time. I bulk prep a few ingredients on Sundays like some sweet potatoes, my chicken, my rice, and I make a couple of things either the night before or the morning of, but most of my breakfast and lunch is prepped and ready to go before the week even starts. And the last one is my morning routine. Yes, I sacrifice waking up a little bit earlier, but it helps me get time for myself and to pour into myself, which allows me to just be more productive throughout the day, and again, it just gives me time to pour into myself. It is when I get my workout in, it is when I get a couple other tasks done, and so having my morning routine is quite honestly one of my favorite parts of my day. Those are five habits that helped me lose weight as someone who is a full-time working mom and works a desk job.
