5 unsexy things I do since dropping 40lbs for my wedding 1. Keep my breakfast and lunch the same pretty much every day (even on the weekends). Variety is overrated… I like what I like and I stick with it. Less decisions. 2. I walk more than I sit. Your workout is important but what you do the rest of the day matters. I aim for 10k steps a day. And yes, I also work a desk job. 3. I wake up by 5am (at the latest). My morning routine is my North Star - getting my main movement done and over with gives me mental clarity to start the day and I no longer negotiate with myself all day long. 4. 1.0g of protein per pound of body weight (150g of protein a day). This has truly made the biggest difference with my fitness goals and body recomp. 5. Bulk prep on the weekend to set myself up for success during the week. Taking 1 hour to prep a couple of proteins, carb, fruits and vegetables helps keep me consistent all week long with my meals.
