Grayson is a sweet, affectionate, gentle boy who is currently dealing with a painful injury to his right front wrist. He has multiple bite wounds around his shoulder, head, and right carpus, with significant swelling and he was initially non-weight-bearing on that leg. X-rays showed soft tissue swelling around the right carpus. The shelter veterinarian is concerned about a possible soft tissue injury, synovitis, or joint infection, and he needs continued veterinary care, medications, monitoring, and potentially additional diagnostics. Grayson has already started treatment, including Carprofen, Gabapentin, and Clindamycin. He is also heartworm positive and has been prescribed 28 days of Doxycycline as part of the shelter’s heartworm therapy. But despite everything he is dealing with, Grayson has shown everyone what a special boy he is. 🥺💙 ✨ He is very sweet and affectionate. ✨ He approaches with a wagging tail. ✨ He loves pets and affection. ✨ He is gentle and calm. ✨ In playgroup, he was social and playful and was described as Dainty & Gentle. Grayson should not have to lose his life because he needs medical care.
