In this part of the family’s live, they spoke directly about the practical support needed right now and how people can give safely. Ashley’s sister urged anyone wanting to help to go through the correct channels. @winter_jansen and @Lee-roy Arendorff both contacted the father, and he gave his consent for them to share his banking details so contributions can reach the family properly. The father then spoke with raw honesty. All he wants is to bury his child in dignity. He said that is all he needs right now, to lay her to rest so he can find some peace of mind and turn his attention to his other children. Their youngest is only fourteen. His eldest son needs counselling, as do his daughters and his grandchild, Hayley. He asked the community for help, saying he would really appreciate it, and thanked everyone already supporting them. He ended by blessing those who have stood with the family. This is the family’s clear appeal: give through the right channels so Ashley can be buried with dignity and the remaining children can begin to heal.
