Grace Khambule, a salon owner from Thokoza Extension 2, has been missing since 15 March 2025. She was last seen in Kempton Park in the company of her friend Ntando Mbatha, who is also from Thokoza. Since that day, neither Grace nor Ntando has been seen or heard from. The family remains deeply concerned that, for reasons unknown, Ntando’s family has not reported her missing. On the day she disappeared, Grace made a video call to a friend while in Kempton Park. During the call, the friend noticed she appeared to be in a dark place despite it being daytime and asked why. Grace replied that she was at a club. The family later established that the club in question is a well-known establishment with an animal name, located opposite the taxi rank in Kempton Park . For safety reasons, Grace’s family has been unable to approach the club themselves to request CCTV footage or any other information that could assist in locating her. When they attempted to open a missing persons case at Kempton Park SAPS, they were told there was insufficient proof that the club was the last place Grace had been seen. As a result, they were advised to open the case in Thokoza instead. The family is desperately seeking answers. They are appealing to anyone who may have information about Grace’s whereabouts, or who may have seen either Grace or Ntando on or after 15 March 2025, to come forward. Any detail, no matter how small it may seem, could prove vital in bringing them both home safely. Grace is a hardworking salon owner and a loved member of her community. Her family continues to hold onto hope that she will be found.
