Sello Nale, a 44-year-old husband and family man from Alberton, Gauteng, has been missing since 7 July 2026. His loved ones and the community continue to search desperately for answers more than two months later. On the afternoon of 7 July, Sello last spoke to his wife around 16:00. He told her he was on his way home but running late. He was last seen at approximately 17:00 at New Market Mall (Mall at Newmarket) in Alberton. A witness reported seeing him being hijacked or kidnapped by unknown persons. He has not been seen or heard from since. Sello is described as having an average build. He was driving a silver Hyundai i10 with registration CS65DKGP. His clothing at the time of disappearance is unknown. The case was reported to Alberton Detective Branch. The investigating officer is Sgt Nkuna (cell 060 600 7408). Enquiry number is still to be updated. In late July 2026, police identified two persons of interest wanted for questioning in connection with the disappearance. Investigators stated they were the last people seen with the missing man and allegedly failed to honour repeated promises to cooperate with the investigation. A public appeal for information on their whereabouts was issued, with a hotline number of 071 132 3563 circulating at the time. As of mid-September 2026, Sello remains missing. Organisations including Missing Children SA and SACCW continue to circulate his details and appeal for public assistance. No confirmed sightings or breakthroughs resolving the case have been publicly reported. This is a heartbreaking situation for Sello’s wife, family and friends.
