In the ETV News segment “The woman behind the names,” we are reminded why identity matters. Four women whose bodies were found in and around Kempton Park now have names the public can speak: Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo, Itumeleng Kekana, Dineo Evelyn Motapane, and Gracious Nkomo. These were not anonymous cases. They were mothers, daughters, sisters, and neighbours with lives, dreams, and people who loved them. The segment rightly focuses on the quiet, determined work of restoring their names so they cannot be reduced to numbers or forgotten.
