“Just leave” is USELESS advice when you have rent bills a visa people depending on you no next job lined up So sometimes the goal is to stop letting your job consume everything while you work out your next move. Here are 6 survival moves 🔽 ——— Hi, I’m Sasha 👋 Together with a doctor, I’m building Anticipate App to help you with it: 1. Get it on the App Store 2. Sync your Apple Health (it's private & secure) 3. Track your patterns and get daily prompts to help you slow down and prioritise rest when you need it most. ——— 1. Stop volunteering for extra pain. Do your job well, but stop automatically rescuing every project, fixing every crisis or taking on work nobody asked you to own. 2. Put a hard end to the workday. Pick a realistic stopping time and treat it like a boundary, not a suggestion. 3. Stop checking work in recovery time. Mute notifications. Close Slack. Don’t “just quickly check” email from bed. Or better, delete work apps from your phone entirely. 4. Protect one thing that is still yours. A walk. Dinner. Gym. Reading. Seeing someone you love. Keep at least one part of your day untouched by work. 5. Make the job smaller in your head. It is a job, not a verdict on your worth. A bad meeting, missed target or difficult manager does not need to become your whole identity. 6. Start building your exit quietly. Update your CV. Save money if you can. Talk to people. Apply slowly. You don’t need to leave tomorrow to start creating a way out. The goal is not to become amazing at tolerating a bad situation. It’s to reduce the damage while you’re still in it. “BUT I STILL HAVE TO SHOW UP TOMORROW.” Yes. So make tomorrow smaller. Do what actually needs doing. Stop donating extra energy. Protect recovery where you can. And keep moving towards a life that asks less of your nervous system. That’s exactly why I’m building Anticipate. To help people who can’t just quit their jobs reduce the damage chronic stress and burnout can cause. Our small team is working tirelessly to make it as helpful as possible. Search “Anticipate” on the App Store. 🤍 #burnout #burnoutawareness #burnoutprevention #mentalhealthmatters #takecareofyou
