CVS says it plans to split into two public companies by 2028, separating its retail pharmacies from Aetna, Caremark, Oak Street Health, and Signify Health, which would remain together. Advocates say that still leaves major parts of the health care system under one corporate roof. CVS Health’s employee-funded PAC gave more than $516,000 directly to federal candidates in 2024, almost evenly split between Republicans and Democrats; CVS and its subsidiaries also reported nearly $9.7 million in federal lobbying that year. A corporate reshuffle won’t answer the bigger question: who should control our health care? #CVS #Healthcare #BigMedicine #FollowTheMoney #HealthCareCosts
