Lets keep it simple as a CMO what marketing metrics do I look at on a daily basis because marketing numbers and reporting can be so overwhelming for so many people and I think that the key here is actually just to focus on a couple of things that you know will really support you moving the needle. What do I look at on a daily basis? Well I start very much at the top of the funnel and so I look at website traffic to begin with. Is website traffic consistently hitting our daily and weekly averages? So you would have in your head what they are and then just have a sort of borderline is it hitting the benchmarks that you will expect website traffic to hit while you're seeing any fluctuations. The next thing I look at as I take it one step further down and I look at MQL Marketing qualified leads and in my world a marketing qualified lead is if a demo has been booked with a sales team or if marketing have deemed them ready for sales to interact with them. So they're really important, really key and I look at the volume of those on a daily in a weekly basis and then the next thing I look at is in volume of opportunities that we in marketing have created that the sales team are currently working and they're hoping to close and I speak to those sales individuals and I ask them whether they need any additional support from marketing to really close them and to win them faster.
