If you work in sales or you're looking to get in sales, please, please, please never ask the person on the phone how their day is going. When you say that, you sound like every other salesperson. And the reason why I train my setters to never say that and I always advise other people in sales to never ask the person how their day is going is because it has no meaning to that question. And it can make them put their guard up. And the person you're speaking to honestly knows that you probably don't really care how their day is going and chances are you really don't care how their day is going. When you look at it from a high level perspective, what value does that actually add to the call and does that get them closer to actually booking the appointment or taking the next step? Try this instead. Hey, it's Hayden Cole from Speed to Lead. I'm just giving you this quick call because I did one of our ads a little while ago in regards to X, Y, Z. Does that ring a bell? And then by saying, does that ring a bell, you're prompting more of a positive response rather than a forced one that doesn't really mean anything, such as how's your day going? So if you guys want to learn a little bit more sales, drop me a follow and also comment any questions you have down below.
