makeup rules i follow for my personal routine

I don't know if I'm the only one that does this but I have a certain list of rules or guidelines that I use when I do my own makeup routine. And because I can already smell the comments, let me make this clear, these are my personal rules that I use for my makeup routine. Please do not be annoying about this. Number one, I usually limit my eye looks to three colors max. Yes, I make exceptions like for pride makeup, but I feel like three colors is really like that sweet spot and it also prevents me from overthinking my makeup looks too much. Next, no matter what type of eye makeup it is, I always, always need to tightline my upper lash line. If I don't do this, my eyes have no definition. This one's huge. Whenever I use rhinestones in a makeup look, they all have to be different sizes. Otherwise, I think it looks kind of weird and flat. Finally, when I'm picking a lip product for my makeup look, I get five tries. If I don't find the shade I want by attempt number five, that's too bad because I'm already locked in.
