debunking common misconceptions about chinese makeup

I've made a couple videos about Chinese makeup before, but since China is a hot topic right now because of the tariffs, let's debunk some common misconceptions about Cbeauty. Number one, all cbeauty brands test on animals. So many people believe this because before 2021, China did require animal testing on products that were imported into the country to be sold in store. Since then, they have lifted that requirement for most products. And even when the law was still in place, a lot of cbeauty brands manufacture within China, so the law didn't even apply to them. Number two, Chinese makeup is cheap/low quality. China has a huge makeup industry and some of it is produced for $3 lipstick that you see on Temu, but there are also so many high-end and high-quality Cbeauty brands, like some of the ones that I'm using in this video, and it's unfair to lump them all in together. That's like if I were to judge all American makeup based on only products I got from Dollar Tree. And number three, Chinese makeup is all neutral/everyday shades, geared towards everyday makeup. Honestly, when people say this, I feel like they're confusing Chinese makeup with Korean makeup. Some of my favorite colorful and pigmented products are from Chinese brands, so if you really think that Cbeauty is all neutral and everyday shades, then you're really missing out on a lot of great products.
