Everybody start investing, but nobody tells you how. So here's how to start investing in Canada in three simple steps. I'm Matt, I'm 22 years old and this is my stock portfolio. So if you like investing, then follow me. Step number one, you need to choose a brokerage. A brokerage is the place where you buy and sell your stocks. I personally use Questrade, but Wealthsimple is also great. Step number two, connect your bank account and deposit money. Now, this is where a lot of people mess up after they deposit money, you actually need to invest in something. If you just leave the money in the account, it will not do anything. Step number three, actually invest in something. I like to keep things simple, so I don't invest in individual stocks. Instead, I invest in ETFs, exchange traded funds. An ETF is essentially a basket of stocks that you can buy all at once. Two of my favorites are ZSP and XEQT.
