Here's how much money you would make if your company IPOed. So on July 31st of this year, the popular tech company Figma IPOed. And when Figma IPOed, their stock jumped up to over $100 per share. However, what has happened over the last three to four months is that the stock has gone down. It's gone down 67% since that IPO. And what a lot of people think is that Figma employees probably sold up here and they made a ton of money. However, if you're an employee at a company that you get affected by what's called the lockup period. This is where you cannot sell any of your stock for 180 days or 6 months after IPO. So even though Figma skyrocketed their IPO date, the employees have largely not been hopefully the share price turns around and it starts increasing again. But unfortunately for a lot of the Figma employee shareholders, they've seen a crazy jump in price and they've slowly seen this decrease over the last handful of months. Talk about an emotional roller coaster.
