The rest of the smartphone market is playing checkers while this is like, connect four or something, because what do you mean, two weeks out from the end of the year, they decide to drop this crazy of a design. These guys really don't play by the traditional rules and honestly, I hope they never change. This is their Phone (3a) Community Edition and it's nothing like any phone we've seen this year. The blend of retro and modern angles in the design here is always a treat to see and I honestly never wanted teal, yellow, pink, but smartphone, but turns out I do. This thing looks wild. It comes in this really cool early 2000s theme packaging with a frosted and transparent look and that design language carries over to the actual phone itself with this really nice frosted glass back and matching wallpaper. The design is in collaboration with community members, which is awesome to see and the drop is limited to only 1,000 units, so you won't be seeing these everywhere. And this company, unique, Nothing Headphone (1) earlier this year that was really well priced and had these awesome tactile controls that people seem to love. So let's hope Nothing momentum in 2026 because fun, this space.
