I made an app that automatically edits my vlogs. I've tried a lot of AI editing tools, but none of them did exactly what I wanted. So I used Claude Code to make my own. I just record my day and drag in the videos as I go. The editor automatically picks them up. If the video has talking in it, it will remove the silences and add it to the timeline. And it also picks out background shots and adds those to the timeline as well. I like it because I can just add clips throughout the day and see how the vlog is going to be coming along as I go. Next, I want to add things like automatically adding music, titles, and captions and more effects. I just started working on it, but let me know if you want the source code.
