Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
So I just had my biggest investment portfolio past $200,000 at 20 years old. Let's talk about the three biggest things I noticed going from my first 100k to my second 100k. Now, the process of me going from 100k to 200k was much faster than me going from 0 to 100k was much faster than me going from 0 to 100k. I think the biggest contributor of that was that I focused on my income. If you're trying to build a big financial goal, your income should be your number one focus. When I first started this portfolio a little over three years ago, I was working my first job at Chick Fly, making absolute minimum wage in Florida $11 an hour. There probably a 0% chance my portfolio would be the size if that was still the only income I was living off. Knowing what I know now if I could go back to when I had 10,000 dollars to my name and my goal was to get to 20 as fast as I could. I still would have stuck to investing the 10,000 dollars that I had. However, I put way more focus on bringing in more money, whether it's through business or even just my job. As 99% of the time it's going to be way quicker for you to go from 10,000 to 20,000 by focusing on bringing in more money through your income rather than flipping that in the market. However, of course, investing can help you speed that up. The second biggest thing I noticed is compound interest really picks up once you hit 100,000. I opened my investment portfolio in March 2023 with about $4,000. Two years and a couple months later, I posted this video on Tik Tok, which is still on my page when I hit my first 100,000 in this Robinhood portfolio. And now less than a year later, I've officially got it over 200,000. compound interest is so important to understand. I would say in my opinion, it is the number one most important thing you need to know and fully understand to take advantage of if you're trying to build wealth over a long-term period of time. And lastly, one of the biggest things I've changed is do not be afraid to just keep your investing simple. Along my journey to get to this point, there's many times for now just chasing the next stock that's going to do 100% next week and just overall things like that, which sometimes it worked out for me. However, I also lost some money and took on much more risk doing this. Don't be afraid to keep it simple, let compound interest to it's thing, just make as much money you can through your income as possible.
