Here are some things that I do to help me grow my emergency savings and to build my income. The first thing I do is increase my income, so I like to diversify my income streams by picking up a side hustle, starting a side business, looking for a higher paying salary job. Anything that's gonna increase your income is gonna be the number one thing I would focus on. Right now, I'm applying for roles that are paying $100,000 a year. This is a great way to increase my income by applying for a higher paying salary job. I also have a side business doing social media management where I have one client right now. This is a great way to also build your emergency savings by having a side business or having a side hustle. The next thing I do is I focus on cutting out expenses. This could be cutting out eating out, cutting out subscriptions, cutting out splurging and shopping. These are some things that I am actively doing right now. I have given myself a budget for eating out, so $200 a month. I also went through my subscriptions and I cut out subscriptions that I don't need. I had Netflix, Hulu, Peacock. I don't need three streaming services. So the main thing is to cut out subscriptions that you don't need because a lot of times you're spending way too much money on your subscriptions. So go through your subscriptions and cut out ones that you absolutely don't need. The next thing I do is I budget. I make sure that I budget my expenses and budget fun money, going out money, eating out. This is a really good way to build your savings and build your income. Make sure that you have a budget. You can use pen and paper, you can use a budgeting app. I personally use the app Monarch. It is $16 a month for the app, but it's a subscription that I actually really like and the app has a lot of value, so I don't mind paying $16 a month. However, you can use pen and paper, that's also a great choice. But making sure that you're budgeting your expenses and budgeting your fun money, going out money, eating out money is very important to building your savings and to building your income. So make sure that you have a budget. So these are some things that I would focus on if you're trying to build your emergency savings and build your income. Focus on increasing your income, cut out things that you don't need like subscriptions, eating out and make sure that you're budgeting your money. This is very important. So if you want to build your income and you want to build your savings, focus on doing these three things.
