Today I interviewed two candidates. One was absolutely horrible. The other one was amazing, and I'm gonna tell you what they did well so that you can do it, too. When I asked, what is something that you dislike about your role today, the candidate that did a bad job answered like this. They started hysterically laughing and basically said, I hate my job, and that's why I'm here today. Big, big red flag. Candidate that did a good job answered like this, I work really fast, and I'm good at collaborating across teams, but sometimes the business I'm currently in is a little too corporate and slow for the pace I like to move. Her answer. I was able to understand how she works, that she collaborates well, and probably wouldn't work well in a really big company, which is not what mine is.
