feeling useless at your internship I saw this video a little bit ago, a college student saying, I feel so useless as an intern, like doomscrolling on my phone for eight hours at my internship. And I had this like a DM asking me like how my internship is going and wanting like updates and whatever. And I honestly have like no updates to give cause I was also being useless low key at the internship because they just like weren't giving me work cause like, obviously I was in like the learning like week, but coming from research background, I just like wanted more work to do and I just like felt so useless. But today we were running this new protocol in the lab and we like ran into, ran into this problem of miscalculation and I literally led the problem solving. So I no longer feel useless. I am a useful person in the lab now and I just wanted to share that. And if you also feel useless at your internship right now, um, based on what I've heard from a lot of other interns, they kinda feel the same. So just be patient, your moment to shine will come eventually.
