how to secure ANY leadership position you want At least, they worked for me when I was in school. Number one is kind of acting like a teacher's pet in the beginning. If there's, like, a supervisor or teacher that is, like, in charge of, like, the club or your coach or whatever, you do, like, need a good relationship with them, because then they'll give you more, your more tasks that are more leader like So that kind of, like, forms that, like, building up to that leadership. Number two is kind of acting already like you're in that leadership position before you are actually elected or, you know, whatever. And there's a difference between being bossy and acting like you're in the leadership position, because I think it's usually assuming that service role. For example, when I wanted to become a captain for my tennis team, I was cleaning up after our practice, helping a coach put away, like, stuff, or making, like, an Instagram account for our tennis team so that I was uploading photos and, you know, kind of, like, doing this things that, like, your captain would do. You know, kind of doing that gives, like, your teammates, like, that idea that you are, like, leading the team or you, or you are kind of in that position. So that just seems very natural. Number three is literally just applying to that leadership role. Because, for example, for my one of my clubs that I was literally the president of the year before I became the president, I just applied to be a vice president. Although, like, I did not think that I would get the role at all bc it was such a big club and I thought everyone would be applying and it would be so competitive. But it ended up, I ended up being literally the only candidate for the vice president role, so I literally got it. And that helps me get into the president position the next year. And kind of like how you feel timid before applying to like, a leadership position, I feel like a lot of people feel the same when it comes to applying to like, big leadership roles. So there is actually less competition than you think I think there is just like, apply to that, see how it goes. If you don't get it, then you just don't get it. So it's literally no loss there. So yeah, I would look kind of think ahead if you have a leadership role that you want to take and kind of like, you kind of have to like, build up to it. But I wanted to make this video cause like, I feel like some people feel that you need to be building up for like the entire year if you want a big leadership role, but it's usually like a month or two that takes commitment leading up to big leadership roles. And it is totally possible, even if you start, like, late your junior year or whatever.
