how to find people that will respond to your cold emails

I'm a consumer, and I'm desperately want and I'm trying to get into smaller companies to find an opportunity. how to find people that will respond to your cold emails where do you even start with the list of cold emails that you can send emails to? Well, here's what I did. So I contacted a program that I wanted to participate in, like a summer internship program, and I didn't get it. But they It took a lot of emails for me to direct For them to direct me to the right person. But once they directed me they provided me with the list of mentors. Meaning, like, in my case, for research, professors are participating in these mentoring programs that are open to taking undergraduate students in their lab or projects. Because that's like the easiest place to start. Like, you can always, like, email people that aren't mentors, but, you know, it is easier since they're already open to it and they have experienced taking, you know, mentees in previous or current cycle programs. So I would start there also because reaching out to a program allows you to kind of narrow it down Um, the type of mentors are people that you wanna work with because you already know that the program is something that you wanna work with, and therefore the mentors will align with your goals as well.
