After getting rejected from all my dream colleges, I totally switched up the game plan preparing for med school. Here's one advice that I wish I had in high school and what I'm currently doing differently preparing for med school applications. The one I want to talk about today is reach out to people in places you want to be at. Reach out to people in places you want to be at. In positions that you wish you were in. I don't know if this is just me, but I never took the initiative to reach out to them because number one, it was scary and two, I convinced myself that it wouldn't give me any special advantage or I wouldn't get that much out of it because I was like, all the college advice people have or the same. I feel like I totally changed my game because number one, there's always, always something to learn from them. I feel like I was almost too arrogant to think that I wasn't going to get anything out of it. But number two, even if you are hearing the same things over and over, it is a good way to make connections and build long-lasting mentorship. Three, you can start recognizing patterns that can help you set yourself up for success. So even if maybe one person's story or advice is not that thing that makes any changes, but once you start talking to enough people, you kind of see the patterns, you see the trends in the people, um, in positions that you want to be in. That's one of many things that I totally changed after getting rejected from all my colleges because I knew I needed to find any strategy, apply to med school. But
