4 years ago, I packed up my life and moved to a city where I didn't know a single person. I moved from Texas to the Midwest four years ago without knowing anybody, without having any friends here. I took a risk on myself. And Google offered me a job. I moved across the country to chase my dreams and to become the person who I always envisioned that I could be. And now that I'm leaving, I'm heading back to Austin, I really wanna just give some appreciation for the Midwest. I moved, I initially worked at Google in Ann Arbor. Google moved me to Chicago, and Chicago is where things really just took off to the next level, where, you know, I finally touched multiple six figures in a year. I got my master's degree, I got my MBA, I'm growing a social media personal brand. Um, went out and have done incredible things. I did a TED talk while working at Google, I spoke in front of 500 fucking people. Went to work at an amazing company in the enterprise division, traveling to New York, being in front of, and being in rooms that I never could imagine, all because I took the risk, moved to the Midwest, got uncomfortable and bettered myself. And these last, you know, nearly four years or so is, it's been incredible. And I just really wanna say I just really wanna give some appreciation to, of course, the city and the opportunities that I've been given. But I also just want to give appreciation to myself for having the courage. It's been tough, man. Like I'm glad I'm finally heading back home to be closer to family, but there were times up here where, you know, I was spending holidays, holidays alone, and not, you know, not being around people. You know, the Midwest in Chicago and these cities are people known each other for years and, you know, that they're they're very, and I've met some great, great friends here, but it was just a little, it was a little lonely sometimes. And I'm just really proud of the person that I became. And I'm, I'm excited for the next four years. But yeah, guys, man, Chicago, thank you for everything. Seriously.
