The process behind @Clau lynn transformation — let’s talk formulation. 🤎✨ She came in at a natural level 3 and my goal was to lift her base while warming it up into that rich, chestnut brunette. Before I even picked up a bowl, I had to think about her natural underlying pigment and how it would interact with my formula. Since I was using @L’Oréal Professionnel iNOA permanent color with 30 volume, I could actually USE her natural underlying pigment to our advantage — no need to overcomplicate it. The formula? A single 6.0. That’s it. For her ends, I skipped the bleach cap or shampoo cap entirely. She was nervous about bleach, and honestly? She didn’t need it. This is why I always stress knowing EVERY avenue of color — it’s not just about placement or toners. It’s about knowing how to pivot and tailor the experience for each client. One more thing I love about L’Orèal iNOA — its oil delivery system leaves the hair incredibly shiny, and it lifts so cleanly that when I go in with foils later, I never struggle breaking through the pigment. 🙌🏻 Speaking of foils — that breakdown is coming next.
