Let's budget my last teacher paycheck of the school year. So in my district we only get paid for 10 and a half months. So that means that for the month of June, this will be my last paycheck. And then I do not get anything in July. And then in August I get half of my paycheck. So let's see what my pay is for the month of June. In total I have five thousand three hundred sixty dollars and thirty five cents. This is after taxes deductions. I also contribute $300 to my 403b and that's also already been deducted. As I say very often in these videos, I am a teacher in California. While my salary might seem a little bit more compared to other teachers in other states, really, the cost of living in California is very, very high. So while it might seem like a bigger number compared to others, it's still not that much to the bills. My share of the rent is $1,410. My share of the car insurance is $110. And then my other bills are really just my phone which is about 50. And then my electric bill is averaging about $150 every month. Variable expenses, I do have subscriptions to Amazon, HBO, and Netflix. Totals around $55. And then I do have a monthly subscription to class pass and I do the 100 dollar one, but I'm probably gonna change it to the 50 dollar one next month since I'm not getting a check and I have to cut out expenses somewhere. I really enjoy doing group workout classes. I know some people are trying to tell me to get a peloton because I like doing, like, the cycling classes, but honestly, something about the environment of being in a workout class with other people, I think it's more motivating. Honestly, I'm somebody who doesn't have a lot of, like, expensive hobbies. Feel like this is a hobby I'm doing for myself that I enjoy and obviously it's exercise, which is good for my health. I think it's totally worth paying for it. And then, if you didn't know, I am 100% debt free. So I don't have any credit card payments. I do not have a car payment that I need to make anymore, which is really, really nice. My savings, I usually do contribute at least like $500 to my savings every month, but unfortunately with not having a check next month, I usually don't contribute anything to my savings. I do have a couple social media payments that are coming up in the next few weeks, and I'm just going to take that money and put that into my savings instead. Of course, the month of July is coming up, so some events I have coming. It's my mother in law's birthday and I already bought a gift fourth of July coming up. I do have a couple of events that I'll be attending so I just wanna make sure I have some money put aside. Or I'm thinking about how I'll probably have to spend to like bring something to the parties and events. And then most importantly to me is my birthday. My birthday is in the middle of July. It's something bittersweet about being a teacher and having your birthday in the summer because obviously you're not working. But then in my case, I'm not getting a check in July. So usually I'm just kind of stressed out about not having any income. I do have money saved in a high yield savings account, so I'm set for the summer. Like I can definitely at least afford to pay my bills and still do other things that I enjoy. Of course not having any income makes me kind of anxious cause it's hard to like fully enjoy my summer and my birthday. Hey, but I'm going to try. So that's pretty much what's going on for this month. So I will not be making one of these videos in July cause I will not be getting a check. Feel pretty good about continuing the rest of the summer. I've been on summer break for like three weeks now and I've just been really responsible and not making ridiculous purchases. Well wish me luck you guys. Hopefully I can continue having a low spend summer.
