It's a new month, so let's budget my teacher paycheck. For this month I made 5,393 dollars and 11 cents. I actually added 100 dollars to my 403B. It went from 200 to 300 dollars. So I am technically going to get less now for my checks. And the reason why I did that is because I am done paying off my car. And I also have no more credit card debt as of recently. So I don't have any extra debt I have to put money towards. So I felt comfortable, uh, raising that 403B. Honestly, I'm probably going to add a little bit more. But I'm just trying to figure out exactly how I want to just like, divvy up my check because I still wanna put money into my savings account. So again, to the bills. Uh, that has also changed as well because I moved into a new apartment. So my rent increased. So now my share of the rent is $1,410. And then even though I'm done paying off my car, obviously I still have a car insurance that I have to pay. So my share is $110. For our bills, we do not have to pay a gas bill anymore. Only electric. So for last month it was only $60, but we had moved in a little bit later. So I don't think that's going to give us like the full scope of how much it's going to actually be most of the time that we're here. Actually did buy a new phone recently and I did pay it in full, so it is over $1,000. I use my credit card, but I'm not going to pay off my credit card right away so that I don't leave a balance on it. So honestly, my phone had like no storage in it. And obviously I do like to film content and it was honestly keeping me from filming content a lot cause I was constantly having to delete stuff just to make space on my phone. But honestly, my phone is kind of paying for itself because I am using money that I made from a couple ads that I did to pay it off, which has been really nice. So for my other expenses, I have my class pass that I pay for. I cut it to 50 last month. I think I'm actually gonna go back to 100 because I do take classes often. And I do have an Amazon Prime account and HBO. And Netflix. As a teacher, Amazon Prime is really helpful for me to have. But I say it every time that I know it's a little controversial to have, um, but honestly, it almost feels like a necessity for me. Then thinking about my high yield savings account. So I increased the amount that I put into my high yield savings account. In total, it is $325. I think I might increase that to 400. My car payment was originally $433. And again, I'm done paying off my card. So I'm really just trying to figure out how I want to allocate this extra money. I don't see this money now as extra money to spend. It's extra money that I should be putting into savings or into other things. Right now, that $325 is split between three different types of accounts, including an emergency fund, my house fund, a travel fund. And then finally just some May expenses. So I have a couple birthdays in May per usual. I swear I always have. It's always somebody's birthday. My family. First we have Mother's Day that's coming up. So I wanna make sure I have enough money for a gift for my mom. I think this is definitely going to be an interesting month because it's our first month in this new apartment. It's my first month not having to actually pay off any real debt cause my car payment is over. So just figuring out how much money I'm really going to have left over. And again, I'm seeing it as money to put into savings and retirement. Pretty much it for this month. Thanks for watching. I'll see you in the next one.
