Welcome back to my series hiking in Cincinnati, where Rocky and I explore local trails and let you know if they're worth visiting. Today we are checking out French Park in Amberley. Rocky and I have been coming here for years and it's one of our favourite places to hike because there are so many different trail options. We started at the lower parking and followed Hiking Trail B until it connected to Creek Trail A. We walked roughly one and a half miles. The trails are well marked and take you through the woods and alongside Amberley Creek on a mix of dirt and gravel paths. Along the way we spotted deer, birds, and small fish in the creek. We even saw a few people searching for rocks and fossils. There are several bridges and stairs built into the to make the hike easier to navigate and more charming. A couple things to keep in mind parts of Trail B can get narrow and muddy, and since some sections run behind nearby homes we did come across a loose dog. Thankfully we were able to pass by without any issues. After the hike Rocky cooled off with some freshwater on a bench before heading home. French Park is one of our favourite hiking spots and it's definitely worth a visit. Rocky and I will be back again soon.
