hot takes on my fitness transformation I started here a couple months ago and this is where I'm at right now I did not track my calories or weigh my food like at all over the past three months was to eliminate food noise as much as possible I have dealt with this for as long as I can remember always thinking about the next meal even when I'm eating the current one would be mind blown when someone would be like it's 3:00 I forgot to eat I'm like you forgot to eat I've been counting down the seconds since breakfast there's no way that everyone else is dealing with this I there has to be a different approach that meant taking away the pressure around the calories the numbers high volume low calorie low sugar like I focused on three things eating as many Whole Foods as possible basing my meals around a protein source and stopping eating when I'm full second hot take I did not stop drinking alcohol during this process in fact I'm pretty sure I drank more over the past three months this is not to say that you should drink more and that's gonna be helpful to your goals I don't think drinking alcohol is helpful to my goals at all actually I feel like it brings me a step back every time I do it but it's this idea that you need to restrict in order to reach your goal that I really tried to get away from this time around because again I'm trying to maintain these results forever how I'm not gonna not drink forever how can I be more strategic and smarter with the nights that I choose to go out get a workout or a long walk in the morning of front load your protein so that you're not playing ketchup at the bar at nine PM choose drinks that are simple and not like a strawberry daiquiri last hot take has to do with workouts I did not follow the same programming every single week and I'm a personal trainer I'm the first one to tell you that that is how you see results is you do the same workouts you progress over 6 8 12 weeks however when you've been doing this type of thing for seven years like I have I wasn't even excited to go to the gym anymore because it just felt so monotonous and it was so important for me to get out of that rut the best way for me to do that was focusing on fun I went into the gym and whatever sparked my interest is what I did now in those movements I was lifting as heavy as possible you guys know I'm a big strength training girl so I was pushing myself close to failure I was doing everything you're supposed to do but I didn't do the same exercises every single week I did what I wanted to do and that helped me to stay more consistent
